Fire–fighting valves are divided into two types - fire-retaining and smoke-fighting valves. FKS fire-retaining valves are designed to block openings in places where ventilation ducts pass through floor-to-floor ceilings, walls and partitions. The fire-retaining valves produced according to the signs of the fire resistance limit can be 60 (EI 60), 90 (EI 90) and 120 minute (EI 120), round or rectangular cross-section, with electromagnetic or electromechanical drive. In turn, the DKS smoke control valves (KDM-2M) are designed to remove smoke and gorenje products from the premises. The fire resistance limit for smoke control valves is 90 (E 90) or 120 (E 120) minutes, only rectangular section, with electromagnetic or electromechanical drive.

Smoke extraction valves are used in smoke protection systems of buildings and are designed to open the opening of the smoke extraction shaft on the floor of a fire. The valve cover is opened by applying voltage to the coil of the drive electromagnet. The valve is closed manually when the voltage on the electric drive is removed.
